Buffet Lunch will be provided, from 12 to 2pm, for those who would like lunch.  Could you please phone and let us know by the 1st July.  We will be using the Scout hall for lunch which is at the top of the drive, parking facilities will be in the primary school car park and the main car park next to the school, which is short walk to the pond/Scout hall (this will be sign posted),

For those who wish to arrive earlier in the day, we live in a small Saxon town,

Some places of interest are: THE MUSEUM, ST MARYS CHURCH and THE ALMS HOUSES.  THERE ARE ALSO LOTS OF LITTLE ALLEY WAYS AND FOOTPATHS WHICH MAKE A VERY NICE WALK (weather permitting).  A must is to visit the CHAPEL, which is now a very up-market restaurant/bistro and you can see bread and Pizza being freshly baked in a log fired oven, also home made cakes made freshly on the premises, these are a must as they are delicious, or just sit and have a tea or coffee and admire the interior.

At 2pm we will then take you just a short walk to the ducks (transport will be laid on for those who need it) as it is a steep slope to go down to the pond.

If anyone wishes to bring a picnic they are welcome to sit in the Orchard or the field which looks down onto the ducks and across the valley, we also have four Jacob sheep with four lambs, and two pigs, plus bees.

We are also open to the general public of the town.  There will be a talk in the Scout hut – on Waterfowl – at about 3 - 3.30pm, where there will be tea, coffee and sandwiches available and a raffle (so any raffle prizes would be much appreciated).

Also we hopefully will be having local crafts, weather permitting they will have stalls down at the pond.

This will go on through the day into the evening and for those who have got the staying power there will be a barbecue (from about 6pm) at which our neighbours and friends will be joining us.  We will be asking those of you who wish to join us in the evening to supply your own meat for the BBQ, we will provide coleslaw and salad etc. There will be live music and hopefully at 10pm there will be fireworks.

This will all happening alfresco (weather permitting) if wet it will be in the Scout hall.
