Open day 2010
18th July 10.30 a.m onwards FREE
PLEASE NO DOGSThis is an important update on our Open Day for this year. As you know we were all eagerly looking forward to visiting Frank & Cynthia Jones to see their prize-winning stock and their equally top class set-up. Unfortunately while Frank was working on repairing one of his ponds he suffered a stroke. Before he could be taken to hospital he also had a fall and broke a leg. At the present he is still hospitalised but a phone call to Cynthia on Saturday 8th May assured me that he is making good progress. Frank has his speech, his right arm is getting stronger, he managed to cope with egg, bacon and baked beans yesterday. It is hoped that his plaster cast will come off next week and then physiotherapy will get his leg working. He does have feeling in it. Richard Sadler, Chris Millward and Roy Pryce are helping Cynthia and her family are keeping the pens tidy.
As a result of all this Frank & Cynthia have decided we should put our Open Day at their home back to next year when we hope things will be back to normal.
We have since had some discussions amongst the Committee which have resulted in Ros offering to stage this year’s event at her home. Her home is conveniently situated just off the A303 between Amesbury and Mere in Wiltshire (Bratch Farmhouse, Fonthill Gifford, Salisbury, Wilts. SP3 6PX).
To give you all time to revise your plans we have moved the date back to SUNDAY 18th JULY.
